Activities
We are all trying to make your child's summer as enjoyable as possible. The counselors have prepared LOADS of fun activities, while still maintaining social distancing. On "Marvelous Monday" your kids will get a special treat and get to try out a variety of arts & crafts. On "Wacky Water Wednesday" all your child will need to bring is a swimsuit and lots of energy! Finally, on "Fun Friday," your child will experience more "hands on" projects, science experiments, and other fun crafts. We ask for all parents to PACK A LUNCH for your child. Camps will also be limited to 6 kids- ages ranging from 5-7 years old. Thank you!
Day 1 - July 6th
Welcome all campers! Today, we are starting off with introducing ourselves and getting to know each other. But this isn't all the fun... we are also using tie-dye to decorate our very own "Camptucket" tees! Furthermore, we will be playing a variety of lawn games such as hide-and-go seek, tag, and stop. We will also be reading stories during lunchtime! As a special treat, the counselors will be bringing donuts today so be prepared to have these delicious treats. Throughout the rest of the week, we will also be working on a play that we will perform the following week.
Day 2 - July 8th
Woohoo! One day of camp completed. On our agenda for today, you will need to BRING A SWIMSUIT. First, we will be making bracelets and as our day moves along, we will transition to yoga, lunch, and other yard games. "Why do kids need a swimsuit?" you may ask... well, we also will be participating in outdoor water games such as "Drip Drip Drop." (no swimming!)
Day 3 - July 10th
Today, we have a lot of fun activities in store for your child. The main activity of the day is slime making! Over the course of this day, your child will learn the science behind slime and go hands-on with this project as well. We will also participate in many outdoor games, such as tag.
Day 4 - July 13th
Welcome back campers to another week of Camptucket! We'll start this week with some more fun arts and crafts projects such as painting rocks, and then move on to some outdoor games, including a night at the museum and kickball. Our counselors have an exciting week planned, and we hope to see you there for the rest of it!
Day 5 - July 15th
Today we have a special day planned. Campers will be able to design and make their own clay creations here at Camptucket. Later, campers will participate in the fun games we have prepared. Towards the end of camp, kids can join in on a water fight so please remember to bring a swimsuit!
Day 6 - July 17th
Last day of camp this week! Are you guys excited for a fun Friday? Today we will be making our own colorful bath bombs. Kids will participate in activities including hula hooping and other fun outdoor games. They will also get a chance to complete craft projects started earlier in the week and take them home.
Day 7 - July 20th
Hey, campers! We have lots of fun in store for today! We will start the day off with a super cool science experiment - an exploding volcano! Kids (with help from their counselors) will be able to construct a miniature volcano and learn how to make it erupt using basic ingredients! Campers will then participate in various lawn games for the rest of the day.
Day 8 - July 22nd
Our counselors want your kids to express their creativity for the second to last day of camp. In other words, today is all about having your kids make unique cut-outs for their very own DIY photo booth. They also will participate in drawing a mural for the background. This is a very fun activity that we hope your children will enjoy very much. We will also play other games as well.
Day 9 - July 24th
Last day of camp! Because Camptucket is coming to an end, our counselors have put together a fun scavenger hunt around the campgrounds. Campers will learn quick thinking and teamwork skills to help crack riddles. As it is the final day of camp, we will be playing lots of fun games following the hunt. Campers will be able to take home craft projects from their time at camp.
We hope you enjoyed the Camptucket experience! We might hold another camp next summer, so be sure to check back next year!
